When to use this method?
Focus groups are very useful in the preliminary stage or in the evaluation. The qualitative approach’s purpose is to get behind the façade in order to give a many-facetted picture, where nothing is given in advance. The qualitative approach often uses psychologists and experts within a given area.
A focus group is also a good source of inspiration. We recommend that the client attends to watch the focus group via a TV-monitor with the research consultant. It is often here, the client gets the most useful inputs, and the research report will appear more operational.
